Having spent 3 fabulous days in Singapore, we are now into our first week in New Zealand. The country has lived up to all our expectations, with amazing scenery and friendly and welcoming people.
Below are some photos of the wonderful black sand beaches, waterfalls, islands and snorkelling adventures we have experienced so far around Auckland and the Bay of Islands near the top of the North Island.
Waitakere Ranges Regional Park – Karekare Beach
Muriwai Regional Park – Gannet Colony
Northland & Bay of Islands – Whangarei Falls
Bay of Islands – Poor Knights Islands – Sea Arches
Bay of Islands – Poor Knights Islands – Snorkelling
Bay of Islands – Poor Knights Islands – Tropical Fish
As you can see we are enjoying fabulous weather, although the Pacific Ocean is still a bit chilly for snorkelling, hence the need for a full wetsuit!
Tomorrow we are heading south on the next leg of our road trip to the Coromandel Peninsula.
